July 17: Scott Capurro and Zoe Lyons

Scott Capurro Scott Capurro goes Deeper.

Scott is one of those acts that tends to polarise an audience, pushing the boundaries of some audience members to breaking point and beyond. This brash, gay San Franciscan takes the view that he has the right to speak his mind and that if anyone is offended, its they who have the problem, not him. Whilst this can cause a walk out or two from the more sensitive souls in the audience, those that can cope with some seriously straight talking will find more to enjoy than mere shock value. A veteran of the Edinburgh Festival having won the Best Newcomer Award in 1994, Scott is an accomplished and brilliant comedian fully prepared to engage with an audience in an linguistic, orgiastic purge of liberal guilt and hypocrisy.
“breathtaking… incandescently witty”

Zoe Lyons – Mangled Mantra of The Messed Up Modern Mind.
If.Comedy Newcomer Nominee 2007 and Funny Women Award winner Zoe Lyones returns to the Edinburgh Festival with a packed new show. Zoe’s manta is mangled, the daily chants that ricochet around her head are all messed up. She knows she should grow up but she is far too busy being a middle class binge drinker.
“An Hour of high octane hilarity from this rising star, a natural talent”
