Im very excited to be working with Zero – a talented visual artist and member of the Illuminart team, on a new show to be presented during the Adelaide Fringe 2016.
Between now and the performance on Feb 25th as part of a concert series called ‘One Night Only‘, we are creating an engaging, beautiful and uplifting audio/visual journey exploring a number of interesting themes which have grown out of reflections on my music, including love, expansiveness, place, loss, change, purity and wonder.
The concert will feature both original music and selections from perhaps the world’s most famous pianist composer, Ludovico Einaudi and we will be working closely to fuse the music together with the visuals, which are to be projected across the whole back wall of the beautiful Banqueting Room at the Adelaide Town Hall.
As well as rehearsing and planning our collaboration, we will have an electronic link up between my digital piano and Zero’s visual set up, giving him direct access to the music as its being played, allowing the changes in the projections to be totally responsive to the musical performance as it evolves. It should be quite an experience
