Adelaide Fringe 2015As another Adelaide Fringe draws to a breathless close, an opportunity to reflect on my third time as a participant.  Really pleased that my Adelaide show in Ayers House sold out and I also had a pleasant evening in a smaller venue called the Courthouse Cultural Centre up in the Clare Valley.

As well as some of my newer and older pieces, I played Debussy’s beautiful La fille aux cheveux de lin and Satie’s haunting Gymnopedie No1.  It was an interesting experience adding in a couple of pieces of classical repertoire into the mix, I can better understand now why concert pianists practice for so many hours per day!

The image to the left shows one of the tables in the Courthouse venueB9x0KixCMAAwTru and to the right its Adelaide piano tuner Anthony Furness working his magic on he 130 year old Broadwood grand piano I was playing in Ayers House.

Meanwhile, my plans to perform again in the Edinburgh Fringe have taken shape with a booking in a really beautiful looking venue, so if you’re in the UK 24th to the 29th August 2015, then watch this space for more details soon.
