I’ve rather grown to love my first foray into recorded piano improvisation, so I’ve gone one step further and produced a video for it. What Ive done is pretty straightforward, setting the piece to a series of my favourite photos from last year, but I think its come out quite effectively, the changes of images working with the changes in the music and the sequence as a whole offering a nice little audio/visual journey through themes of change, impermanence and beauty.
I hope you like it – if you do, please let me know what you think and please do share this with your friends using the various social networking buttons below this blog post, or liking or commenting on the youtube page, or simply emailing the link on to a friend. Thank you.
Also, dont forget there are some other videos of my piano music on the video page of this site.
I’ll get my coat.
lol – thanks Leon, I’ll take that as a seal of approval
Beautiful thought provoking music rich reminds me of one of my favourite albums by Vaughan Williams. As a student of design and horticulture I feel the video isn’t in unity with the music i can see it tries in fact the opening images are completely in harmony with your music but then seeemingly random images detract.Stick to a theme winter, summer etc and i feel the images will marry with the music more cohesively.Looking forward to hearing you on the 30th at the yard bird
hi Richard many thanks for your comments – nice to know it reminds you of Vaughan Williams, I love his music – his 5th Symphony is probably my single favourite piece of music. Im new to the video game and will probably leave it to those more able in the future, but will keep your comments in mind, I think you make a good point. look forward to seeing you sunday.
